County Attorney
The McCracken County Attorney’s Office is a team of more than 20 attorneys, child support staff, and administrative assistants, all striving to collectively serve our community. Under Kentucky law, the responsibilities of the office include serving as the legal adviser to the McCracken County Fiscal Court as well as all county officials, officers, boards, and special districts. We also collect court-ordered child support payments and prosecute all misdemeanor crimes in the county, including DUIs, assaults, bad checks, thefts, juvenile offenses, and other statutory offenses.
Below you will find links to resources that explain some of the services we provide. If we may be of service, please call or come see us.
Casey’s Law is a process that may result in an individual being court ordered to drug or alcohol treatment. If the respondent 1) suffers from a drug or alcohol addiction, 2) presents an imminent risk of harm to themselves or others because of that addiction, and 3) can benefit from treatment, they may qualify for Casey’s Law.
To learn more, please watch the video and read the brochure. If you would like to discuss Casey’s Law and your situation, please call our office and ask for a Casey’s Law appointment.
