County Clerk

The McCracken County Clerk’s office’s responsibilities include registering and titling vehicles, boats and trailers. The County Clerk’s office is also the office where real estate documents such as deeds, mortgages, encumbrances and other legal documents are recorded and maintained for public use.  Elections, voter registration, issuing marriage licenses, and collecting delinquent real estate taxes round out the main job duties of the County Clerk’s office.

2024 MCCRACKEN COUNTY PRIMARY ELECTION INFORMATION

Last day to register for Primary Election: April 22 at 4:00pm

Mail-In Absentee Ballot –
Saturday, April 6 – Online mail-in absentee request portal to open
(45 days before the election).

Tuesday, May 7 – online mail-in absentee request portal to close
(14 days before the election) at 11:59PM

Ballots for the May 2024 Primary may be returned by mail, or to the secure drop box located outside the McCracken County Courthouse during normal business hours of 8:30AM-4:30PM, Monday-Friday. Ballots must be received in the clerk’s office by May 21, 2023 at 6:00PM.

In-Person Excused Absentee –  May 8-10 and 13-15, 2024, 8:30AM-4:30PM in County Clerk’s Office

3 Day Early Voting – May 16-18, 2024, 8:30AM-4:30PM in County Clerk’s Office

Election Day – Tuesday May 21, 2024. Polls open 6AM-6PM.
